Dr. Stuart I. Kaplan is a Florida Board Certified Optometrist.  He is the immediate past President of South West Florida Optometric Association.  Dr. Kaplan has been appointed by Governor Scott to the Florida Board of Optometry.

 

Well versed in vision science and optical disorders, Dr. Kaplan runs a comprehensive practice devoted to healthy eyesight. He is also the Program Director for the Dry Eye Treatment Program at the Cape Coral Eye Center.

 

Dr. Kaplan started his undergraduate studies at Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, and received his B.S. in Vision Science at Nova Southeastern University. He completed his Doctorate studies at Nova in 2001.

 

A decorated Gulf War veteran, Dr. Kaplan spent four years in the United States Army and continued four more years in the Florida Army National Guard prior to starting his collegiate studies. He is past Commander of the Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla 91 at Fort Myers Beach.

Dr. Kaplan is Past Commander of the Southwest Florida Jewish War Veterans Post 400.

Dr. Kaplan joined Cape Coral Eye Center in 2002.  He practices primarily at the Southwest Cape Coral office located at 331 W. Cape Coral Parkway (at the intersection of Cape Coral Parkway and Pelican Boulevard).
